Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered Abroad
Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings took place in Myanmar and Switzerland and a film show in Bulgaria on November 29 and December 1 to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present at the events were figures of different social standings and people in those countries.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said:

HE Kim Jong Il is a veteran of the world politics who devoted his whole life to the bright future of Korea.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea demonstrates its dignity as a country strong in independence.

The credit for it is the wise guidance of HE Kim Jong Il, who vigorously advanced the cause of socialism by pursuing invincible Songun politics true to the cause of President Kim Il Sung, and HE Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward Kim Jong Il's idea and line without an inch of deflection.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, said that Kim Jong Il is a peerless patriot who led the struggle for defending socialism to a shining victory with his steel-strong pluck and iron will in the face of the imperialists' vicious moves to stifle the DPRK.

Personages of political parties and organizations including the Bulgarian Communists Union and the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union saw a Korean film dealing with Kim Jong Il's exploits for the country, the people, the era and history and praised the exploits of world-historic significance performed by the peerlessly great man for setting an example in the building of a revolutionary party of Juche.

A message to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the remembrance meeting held in Switzerland.
