A poem "Rise up, People of Great General", lyrics "Soldiers Miss General" and others written by writers and working people across the country during the mourning period sing of the great efforts of Kim Jong Il who made high-intensity forced march on a train of journey for the people all his life.

Deep reverence of the people for Kim Jong Il produced a lot of poems during the 100 days after his demise.

A song "Might of Korea" resounded on the New Year's Day of Juche 101(2012) and "The General Is Immortal as the Sun", "Endless Is Our Yearning" and other hymns have been created to reflect the people's pledge to carry out the behests of the peerlessly great man.

"General's Era Will Be Forever" and many other collections of poems were brought out by publishing houses across the country.

Teachers and students at Kim Il Sung University produced hundreds of poems such as "Wishes of Ryongnam Hill" and "He Is Our Teacher".
