"Security Law" Is Disgrace to Nation: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Stronger voices in demand of the abrogation of the fascist "Security Law", notorious law, are being heard in south Korea with the lapse of 70 years after its fabrication, Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an article.

It is quite natural that the tendency to repeal the SL is being reinforced in south Korea, says the article.

The article brands the SL as an unprecedented evil law, a copy of the "Maintenance of the Public Order Act" cooked up by the Japanese imperialists to intensify their colonial rule over Korea and fascist crackdown on its people in the past.

The article goes on:

The successive south Korean conservative regimes grown out of pro-Japanese practices worked out the most notorious SL on the basis of the Japanese imperialists' fascist law which had served for indiscriminately killing the Korean patriots, far from liquidating it. And they constantly revised the SL in their interest to use it as an all-purpose means to retain their power and crack down on the people.

The history of the SL in south Korea is, indeed, the one of bloody crimes in which democracy has been mercilessly strangled by the fascist dictatorship, patriots judged by traitors and justice outraged by injustice.

Nonetheless, such thrilling evil law still remains poisonous in south Korea though the conservative regime was toppled down and the times of national reconciliation, peace and prosperity ushered in. This is a mockery of the public sentiment of south Korea and disgrace to the Korean nation.
