The letter said that seven years have passed since the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The letter praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding leader and peerless patriot who firmly defended the Korean-style socialism and ushered in a new era of the country's prosperity to put the dignity and might of Juche Korea on the highest level in the history of the nation with unparalleled ideo-theoretical wisdom, brilliant leadership, unshakable faith, matchless pluck, warm loving care for the country and people and comradeship.

The letter said Kim Jong Il is the benevolent father and an outstanding leader who turned Chongryon into invincible ranks that share the same destiny with the leader and the country and demonstrate the might of single-minded unity, and who put it forward as a model organization of the world movement of overseas compatriots.

It noted that the history of Kim Jong Il's legendary loving care for the nation and compatriots still goes on thanks to the parental affection and meticulous loving care shown by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un for the development of Chongryon and happy life of the Koreans in Japan.

The letter expressed the resolution to further develop Chongryon into a powerful Juche-oriented overseas compatriots' organization shining along with the august names of the peerlessly great men by strengthening its organizations and affiliates at all levels into the reliable fortress for the country and nation.
