The information bulletin said that Dec. 17, 2011 is the day when Chairman Kim Jong Il, the eternal leader of the Korean people and a prominent leader of the world revolution, passed away.

It noted that the Korean people and the world progressives honor the memory of the peerlessly great man on the day every year.

It pointed out that the Workers' Party of Korea has developed into a political organization working for the idea and cause of the leader since Kim Jong Il started the work at the Party Central Committee.

It stated that the Korean people have registered signal successes in the socialist construction and realization of national reunification under the wise guidance of the WPK, a steel-strong and invincible party.

It said it is the greatest feats of Kim Jong Il that he firmly defended Korean socialism under the uplifted banner of Songun in the face of the hardest difficulties.

It added that his feats for the era and history will be immortal.
