Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered Abroad
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings took place in DR Congo, Tanzania and Italy from Dec. 8 to 10 on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Attending the events were public figures of all social standings and citizens in those countries.

Andre Lohekele Kalonda, chairman of the DR Congo committee for remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, and Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association who is deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the DR Congo, said that Kim Jong Il energetically worked for the happiness of the people and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence until the last moments of his life.

They said that the world people will always remember the precious life and feats of the great man who performed during his life.

Maina, secretary general of the Tanzania-DPRK Friendship Association who is vice-chairperson of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, said the idea and line set forth by Kim Jong Il serve as the eternal banner indicating the way of the times and that Kim Jong Il is always alive in the mind of mankind as he made a distinguished contribution to the cause of global independence.

Pasquale Felice, chief of the Firenze group under the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche idea, and its members said that Kim Jong Il was a genuine leader of the people who gave ceaseless field guidance for the people during his life, praising him for strengthening the DPRK into an impregnable socialist fortress.
