Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered in China
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Families of Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle had a meeting to remember Chairman Kim Jong Il at the DPRK embassy in Beijing on Dec. 13 in commemoration of the seventh anniversary of his demise.

The participants in the meeting laid a floral basket and bunches of flowers at the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Zhou Wei, daughter of Zhou Baozhong, said:

We are here today to remember with deep emotion the undying feats of the great General Kim Jong Il.

I have still treasured the picture, which I had taken with President Kim Il Sung, General Kim Jong Il, his mother Kim Jong Suk and my parents when I was young, as a family heirloom.

Yu Ming, son of Li Zade, said:

General Kim Jong Il took great care of the comrades-in-arms of President Kim Il Sung and their children during his lifetime and I can never forget his benevolent image with a bright smile.

Zhang Jinlu, daughter of Zhang Wei-hua, said:

The respected Chairman Kim Jong Un is successfully carrying forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il. I express thanks to him for showing unsparing love for the families of the people related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

The son of Shang Yue said:

I really admire the respected Chairman Kim Jong Un for his great political judgment and outstanding diplomatic resources. I hope that the Korean people will make greater achievements and the long-standing China-Korea friendship will further develop under his leadership.

A similar meeting took place in Shenyang, China on Dec. 14.
