Present there were Choe Su Bong, first vice chairperson of the General Association of Koreans in China, officials of the association and the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, and other Koreans in China.

Before the meeting, the participants laid a floral basket before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Choe Su Bong in a speech said that Kim Jong Il, possessed of perfect personality and qualification of a great man, was an outstanding thinker and theoretician and a peerlessly elder statesman who led the revolution and construction to victory and a tender-hearted father who encouraged Koreans in China with warm love and trust to invariably follow the road of patriotism with the soul of the Korean nation.

Choe stated that all DPRK citizens and other Koreans in China will remain loyal to the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who is making tangible contributions to the reunification of the country and global peace and stability, true to the behests of Kim Jong Il.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the participants watched a documentary film dealing with the revolutionary leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il.

Similar meetings were held by the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and the Yanbian Regional Branch and the Zhongnan Regional Branch of the General Association of Koreans in China.
