Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered in Different Countries
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Meetings to remember Chairman Kim Jong Il took place in India, Pakistan, Belarus and Bulgaria from Dec. 12 to 14 to commemorate the seventh anniversary of his demise.

Attending the meetings were figures of all social standings and citizens in those countries.

Atul Kumar Anjan, chairman of the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association, and other speakers said that the whole life of Kim Jong Il was the one of a great revolutionary, a popular leader who dedicated his all to the people and to further glorifying the people-centered socialist Korea.

Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, said that Kim Jong Il had made dynamic efforts for the happiness of people and the building of socialism, the national reunification and the human cause of independence, adding that the yearning of the Korean people and the world progressives for Kim Jong Il grows stronger with the lapse of time.

L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Standing Committee of the Belarus National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who is chairman of the Belarusian committee for remembering Comrade Kim Jong Il, said that Kim Jong Il developed in depth the Juche idea, the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and the DPRK turned itself into an impregnable socialist fortress, thanks to Kim Jong Il.

The participants in the remembrance meeting held in Bulgaria said it is thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il that socialism was defended in the DPRK and it could demonstrate its dignity as the people's country envied by the world people.
