Minju Joson Urges Japan to Stop Its Reckless Military Acts
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, Japanese Ministry of Defence carried out the test-fire of the interceptor missile co-developed with the U.S. Meanwhile, it made boreholes for ground survey in the sites proposed for ground interceptor missile system Aegis Usher.

The new defence guidelines program for the massive purchase of new-type stealth fighters, long-range missiles and other military hardware in coming five years has also been shaped, sparking off the great concern of the international community.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Monday says what matters is that the ill-boding military moves of Japan are being made under the pretext of coping with the threat from someone.

The commentary stresses that Japan's real intention is to mislead the international community with its repeated remarks about "threat" and justify its moves for becoming a military giant.

It goes on:

Speaking ill of the DPRK's peace-loving efforts, Japan urged others not to be taken in by "smile diplomacy" and branded the former's efforts as those for "buying time". It even made far-fetched assertion that the DPRK put other countries within the range of its missiles, pledging to put the maximum pressure upon the DPRK.

It is against this backdrop that Japan has gone busy, conducting military exercises, putting spurs to the development and deployment of new-type military hardware and drastically increasing military spending.

In the final analysis, Japan poses real threat to regional peace despite its talk about "threat from someone".

Nowadays the international community clearly understands who really harasses peace. Japan should immediately stop its reckless military acts against the trend of the times towards peace.
