Ri said that the people of the DPRK have made proud success in the effort for socialist economic construction under the direction of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and a new era of peace and prosperity has come to the Korean peninsula, highlighting the need to develop the friendly relations with Laos.

The Lao vice-minister expressed the stand that Laos would proactively strive for developing bilateral relations provided by the preceding leaders, wishing the Korean people bigger success in their work for the country's prosperity under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

Earlier, there were talks between Sin Hong Chol, vice foreign minister of the DPRK, and his Lao counterpart.
