Exhibited there are scores of ice sculptures made by 70-odd units, including the Capital City Construction Commission, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the Rakwon Guidance Bureau, the Art Studio of the Korean People's Army, the Mangyongdae District People's Committee and Pyongyang University of Publishing and Printing, and by working people and youth and schoolchildren.

The ice sculptures depicting President Kim Il Sung's birthplace at Mangyongdae, Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp and the immortal flower Kimjongilia show well boundless reverence and noble sincerity of the Korean people for Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Some sculptures show a marine railway bridge, Juche-oriented iron production process, newly-made trolley bus and streetcar, etc.

Exhibited there are also sculptures depicting national tree pine, national bird goshawk, national dog Phungsan and national flower magnolia blossom and representing happiness of the people, all of which are illuminated by color-lighting apparatuses.

Vice-Premier of the Cabinet Ri Ryong Nam, Minister of Culture Pak Chun Nam, officials of ministries and national institutions, working people and youth and students in the city looked round the venue of the festival.
