Kim Chun Hui, weightlifting coach of the Kigwancha Sports Team, was awarded the title of DPRK Labor Hero, Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of National Flag First Class and Om Yun Chol, weightlifter of the Amnokgang Sports Team, Rim Jong Sim, weightlifter of the Kigwancha Sports Team, Jang Song Man, researcher at the Academy of Sports Science, and Yun Yong Bok, vice department director of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the citation of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea; and artistic gymnastics player Kim Su Jong and wrestling coach Kim Kuk Song of the Pyongyang Sports Team, Taekwon-do players Yun Kwang and Pak Ji Hyang of the Taekwon-Do Team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee and Choe Son Yong, student at Kim Ju Hyok Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District, the Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize.

The title of People's Sportsperson went to boxer Pang Chol Mi and boxing coach Pak Chol Jun of the Kumgangsan Sports Team and Kim Kwang Dok, secretary general of the Weightlifting Association, and the title of Merited Sportsperson to Kim Un Ju, weightlifter of the Kigwancha Sports Team, and Hyon Sik, secretary general of the Boxing Association.

Order of National Flag First Class was conferred on wrestler Pak Yong Mi and artistic gymnastics coach Kim Un Ju of the Pyongyang Sports Team.

Order of National Flag Second Class went to four persons, Order of National Flag Third Class to two persons and Medal of Merit to two persons.
