DPRK Holidays Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- Meetings, seminars, lectures, book and photo exhibitions took place in Cuba, Nepal, Mongolia, Tanzania and Angola from December 19 to 22 last year to mark the 7th anniversary of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 101st birth anniversary of the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk. Present at the events were personages of various strata and people of those countries. The first vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification said Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Kim Jong Un is a distinguished leader who is frustrating all challenges by the imperialists at every step and building up the DPRK as a politico-military power by carrying forward the idea and cause of Chairman Kim Jong Il, an outstanding military strategist and peerlessly brilliant commander of Songun without an inch of deflection. He noted thatKim Jong Suk is the anti-Japanese war heroine who fought for the liberation of Korea with arms in hands under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung after embarking on the road of revolution in her early years and brought up Kim Jong Il as the Shining Star of Mt Paektu. The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) said that the Supreme Leader made immortal contributions to peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world with matchless strategy and pluck and bold decision and Kim Jong Suk set a noble example for the devoted protection of the leader. Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Nepal and Mongolia. |
