DPRK Holidays Marked in Mexico

Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held by the People's Socialist Party of Mexico and the Mexico-Korea Friendship Association, and a meeting and book, photo and craftwork exhibition and film show took place at a center in Mexico from December 13 to 30 last year to mark the 27th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the 7th anniversary of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of the KPA supreme commandership.

On display at the venues were photos documenting the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and revolutionary activities of the Supreme Leader.

Also on exhibition there were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos showing successes achieved by the Korean people in building socialism and craftworks associated with wisdom and talents of the Korean nation.

Screened at the film shows were the Korean films including "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".

The general secretary and international secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico said that Chairman Kim Jong Il strengthened the DPRK into a political and military power, which no formidable enemy dares to provoke, by holding higher the banner of Songun at the end of the last century, and added that the dignity of Juche Korea has reached the highest level thanks to the outstanding and tested guidance of the Supreme Leader.

The chairman of the Mexico-Korea Friendship Association lauded the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il.
