The article says that the international community hoped that the positive atmosphere that is never something which has been created with ease in the Korean peninsula would lead to better one, but the hostile forces going against the trend of the times intensified the sanctions against the DPRK.

The great Workers' Party of Korea set forth a new strategic line of concentrating all efforts on socialist economic construction at the historic April Plenary Meeting of its Central Committee, which proceeds from the lawful demands of the era and the developing revolution.

All the people and service personnel of the People's Army turned out in force to implement the new strategic line. Their creative and working energies brought about world-startling miracles at factories, enterprises and construction sites and on fields.

The anachronistic sanctions by the hostile forces persisted in the whole of last year, but socialist construction opened one page of proud victories and entered a new stage.

The credit for it is the great revolutionary spirit of self-reliance of the Korean people full of ardent feveour to remove a mountain and fill the sea according to the Party Central Committee's plan and decision.
