The statement said upon receiving the New Year Address for 2019 reflecting Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's patriotic appeal and firm resolution for reunification, the General Association of Koreans in China and all Koreans in China are full of resolution to make a positive contribution to thoroughly implementing tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address and ushering in a heyday of independent reunification.

The statement noted that the tasks for Korea's reunification set forth by Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address serve as the most just and practical measures for thoroughly implementing the north-south declarations and providing a radical turn in the improvement of north-south relations and the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification this year.

It said that though difficulties still lie in the way of national reunification, bright future is in store for the nation and the cause of reunification of the country is sure to be accomplished as it is led by Kim Jong Un, the destiny of the nation and the lodestar of national reunification.

The statement called for opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification, peace and prosperity by dint of concerted effort of the nation on the basis of the firm stand of national independence under the banner of the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration, undeterred by any foreign interference and adversity.

It said that officials of the association and all other Koreans in China would make an active contribution to glorifying this year as a historic one, in which one more radical turn is to be made in the development of the north-south relations and the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification, true to Kim Jong Un's patriotic appeal.
