Holiday of Cuba Observed
Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of the victorious Cuban revolution.

Present there at invitation were Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Present there also were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission who is chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and other members of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba and working people in Pyongyang.

Kim Sung Du said in his speech at the meeting that it was the fixed stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK to boost the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation with the Cuban people, which have been consolidated down through centuries and generations, as required by the new era.

He confirmed that the DPRK would always make all efforts for invariably carrying forward the baton of fraternal and friendly relations with the Cuban people, which were provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries.

Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo said that the unbreakable unity between the DPRK and Cuba have been consolidated invariably under the wise leadership of Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, and Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea.

He expressed his stand to make a positive effort for boosting cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the common struggle for socialism.
