New Year Address Is Important Guidelines for Chongryon: Vice-Chairman of Its Central Standing Committee
Tokyo, January 9 (KNS-KCNA) -- Vice-Chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) Nam Sung U in a statement vowed to turn out in the drive for implementing the tasks for national reunification set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his historic New Year Address.

All the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan are full of great excitement and confidence in the bright future of the nation, upon receiving the historic New Year Address which clarified the bright way for peace, prosperity and reunification, the statement said, and went on:

The New Year Address full of noble patriotic intention, transparent idea of national independence and strong will for reunification serves as important guidelines to be held fast to not only by the people in the homeland but also by Chongryon in the nationwide struggle for reunification this year.

It said that Chongryon and the Koreans in Japan would join all other Koreans in the gigantic advance for reunification under the slogan "Let us usher in a heyday of peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula by thoroughly implementing the historic north-south declarations!"

We will play a pioneer role in rallying the overseas forces for reunification with confidence that when all the Koreans pool intention and efforts, they can certainly open up a wide avenue to national prosperity and make tangible contribution to strengthening solidarity and unity among the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad and to boosting the atmosphere for reunification.

Chongryon and Koreans in Japan who have devoted their all to the realization of national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il will discharge the honorable mission and duty in the struggle for opening up the heyday of peace, prosperity and reunification under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
