The team obtained 25 medals, including eight gold medals, at the 18th Asian Games, the 2018 World Weightlifting Championship of the International Weightlifting Federation, the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2018 and other international tournaments.

And it won four trophies and 519 medals, including 135 golds, at the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games for celebrating the Day of the Sun, the Paektusan Prize Sports Games for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star, the DPRK Championships and other domestic games held in 2018.

It has produced two winners of the title of the DPRK Labor Hero and many people's athletes, merited athletes and sports aces at football, field and track, table-tennis, heavy gymnastics and other sports events. Among them is Rim Jong Sim, double Olympic gold medalist.

Players and coaches of the team are now putting spurs to the training with zeal to display the honor of Juche Korea with gold medals.
