The statement said that they received with deep emotion the New Year Address made by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, that indicates the goals to be attained by the Korean people in 2019 and tasks for peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

It noted that they warmly welcome the broad avenue to peace and reunification on the peninsula opened by three north-south summit meetings and talks held last year.

It positively supported the foreign policy stance of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK on ensuring world peace and security and developing the relations with all countries that are friendly to it.

It stressed that the Singapore DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks are of special significance in liquidating long-standing hostility between the two countries and laying a foundation for complete denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, adding that the Korean people will register big success in building a powerful socialist nation of Juche under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un.

It expressed their will to disseminate Kim Jong Un's New Year Address in Costa Rica and other countries in Latin America and further boost solidarity with the Korean people.
