New Stamps Issued in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- A sheetlet was issued in the DPRK to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards, Juche-oriented militia forces.

Seen on the upper part of the sheetlet, in which rifle, hammer and sickle in hands are depicted, are letters reading "60th anniversary of Worker-Peasant Red Guards" and "Juche 48 (1959) - Juche 108 (2019)".

On its central part are two individual stamps carrying emblem of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and letters "60th anniversary of Worker-Peasant Red Guards".

The stamps show man and woman members of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards with guns on their shoulders and a member of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards with rile in one hand and hammer in the other respectively.

The sheetlet portrays the brave spirit of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards prepared as the strong militant ranks to resolutely shatter any aggression move and defend the socialist system and lives and properties of the people.

The Worker-Peasant Red Guards was founded on January 14, Juche 48 (1959) on the initiative of President Kim Il Sung and under his guidance.
