Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, posted a statement on a website on January 8.

The statement said that Kim Jong Un reviewed proud successes registered by the Korean people last year and set forth tasks for dynamically accelerating socialist construction this year.

It noted that in particular, Kim Jong Un called for bringing about another radical turn in developing inter-Korean relations and accomplishing the cause of national reunification.

It expressed the conviction that the Korean people will achieve greater success in the struggle for building a powerful country and ensuring the peace and security on the Korean peninsula under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un in the new year.

Gyula Thurmer, chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party, in his statement on Jan. 7, supported the stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to achieve a durable peace on the Korean peninsula and its reunification and to strengthen the friendship with different countries, and expressed the will to make a positive contribution to continuing to develop the relations between the peoples of the DPRK and Hungary.
