Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the General Association, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize a meeting, photo and book exhibition, art performance and other colorful events in praise of Kim Jong Il's revolutionary carrier and undying exploits in the run-up to the meaningful Day of the Shining Star (his birth anniversary).

Meanwhile, the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Yanbian Regional Association and other organizations under the General Association also decided to hold various events.
