Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize various political and cultural events for introducing the brilliant revolutionary careers and undying exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the proud successes achieved by the Korean people in socialist construction under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
