Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is pushing ahead with the work to shore up the chemical industry, one of the two pillars in economic construction, true to the New Year Address of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. After taking heat-preserving measure suited to winter condition, builders of the Sunchon Phosphate Fertilizer Factory have speeded up the wet construction without interruption. A work for establishing methanol production process is going on at the Sunchon Chemical Complex as part of the project for founding C1 chemical industry. The Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill is putting spurs to the production of reed pulp to hit the textbook paper production target for this year. The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex set a stage-by-stage goal for ensuring the trial run and normal operation of sodium carbonate production process based on glauberite and is properly carrying on its realization. It has also produced one thousand and hundreds of tons of fertilizer on a daily average while pushing ahead with projects for expanding the capacity of fertilizer production, including the project for expanding coal depot and installation of 15 000 cubic meter gas tank. The February 8 Vinalon Complex, too, is hastening the project for expansion of capacity to turn out more chemical products. |
