Hike in Expenses for Upkeep of U.S. Forces Opposed in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean online paper Jaju Sibo, a spokesman for the People's Party of south Korea made public a commentary on Jan. 22 to oppose an increase of the expenses for the upkeep of U.S. forces present in south Korea.

The commentary referred to the fact that the U.S. demanded south Korea increase the upkeep by two times over last year's.

It commented that the reason for the U.S. forces to stay in south Korea is not for south Korea but for the interests of the U.S.

It stressed the need to withdraw the U.S. forces from south Korea.
