Chairman Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary to Be Marked in Syria

| Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- A Syrian preparatory committee for marking the 77th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il was formed on Jan. 19. Mohammed Shaban Azzooz, chairman of the Syrian Arab-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set the celebration period between Jan. 19 and Feb. 18 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of Kim Jong Il's feats in the period. |
