Invited to the reception were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the C.C., WPK, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission who is chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, Kim Yong Jae, minister of External Economic Relations, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.

Present there were members of the Cuban embassy here.

Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo made a speech.

He recalled that the Cuban people overthrew the reactionary dictatorial regime under the guidance of Fidel Castro Ruz on Jan. 1, 1959 and established the socialist system, the first of its kind in the Western hemisphere.

Saying that the Cuban people and the Korean people have supported with each other in the anti-imperialist struggle, he vowed to value and invariably develop the good comradely relations made by the preceding leaders of the two countries.

Choe Ryong Hae in a speech said that after the victory of the revolution, the Cuban people have resolutely repelled the imperialists' moves and registered brilliant victory in the struggle for defending the socialist cause.

Saying that the Korean people would invariably support the just cause of the Cuban people, he expressed the stand of the WPK and government of the DPRK to steadily boost the unity and cooperation with socialist countries in the idea of independence, peace and friendship.
