He said that the visit made by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), to the People's Republic of China early this year reflected his firm will to develop the long-standing and traditional DPRK-China friendly relations as required by the new era.

He noted that the great changes were made in the development of situation on the Korean Peninsula last year thanks to the initiative and energetic activities of Kim Jong Un to turn the peninsula into the peace zone free from the danger of war.

He stressed that the Syrian Arab Socialist Union Party positively supported the line and policy of the WPK to defend the sovereignty of the country and nation and accomplish the cause of national reunification.

He expressed the belief that the Korean people would make greater progress and prosperity under the guidance of Kim Jong Un this year, too.
