The paper said that the U.S. compelled the "government" to increase the expenses for the upkeep of its forces under the pretext of the "mutual defense treaty".

This shows that south Korea is under the political, military and economic control of the U.S. although it is allied with the U.S., it said, and went on:

Peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula are the issues that can be settled when the U.S. withdraws its forces from south Korea and permanent and durable peace-keeping mechanism is set up.

The U.S. forces should be pulled out of south Korea.
