Compensation for Environmental Pollution Damage by U.S. Military Base Demanded

| Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean Yonhap News, the Seoul Central District Court on Jan. 27 made a decision that compensation should be made for environmental pollution damage by the U.S. military base in Ryongsan. The court said that pollutants flowed out of the U.S. military base for several years to contaminate areas of Seoul City and as a result a compensation suit has been filed without letup. It added that the base is responsible for the compensation. |
