Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in DR Congo

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- A DR Congo preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed with due ceremony in Kinshasa on January 20. Andre Lohekele Kalonda, chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. An action program of the preparatory committee to organize political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il from January 21 to February 16 was discussed and decided at the inaugural ceremony. |
