The statement blasted the "Liberal Korea Party" (LKP) of south Korea for having claimed that the north's promise is merely nominal and a high strategy designed to destroy south Korea-U.S. alliance and create discord in the south and that the south-north cooperation should not start.

The traitors with no qualifications to live in this land and under the sky are making desperate efforts to bar the current for the improved inter-Korean relations and escalate confrontation with fellow countrymen. It is a disgrace and tragedy of the nation.

Intolerable are the conservatives who have malignantly slandered the great cause of the Korean nation for national reconciliation, unity and reunification with the backing of outsiders.

A struggle to eliminate confrontation maniacs such as LKP preventing the development of inter-Korean relations and seeking division and showdown is a sacred patriotic struggle for safeguarding the fate of all the fellow countrymen and for realizing national reunification, the long-cherished desire of the nation, and for achieving the co-prosperity of the nation.

In order to make greater progress in the efforts for the development of inter-Korean relations, peace, prosperity and the reunification of the country this year, it is necessary to decisively eliminate the anti-reunification forces including LKP as soon as possible as they are swimming against the trend of the times.
