MD. Harun-Ar-Rashid, chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 24 to Feb. 18 and decided to organize diverse political and cultural events including a seminar, photo exhibition and film show in praise of exploits achieved by Kim Jong Il in carrying out the Korean revolution and accomplishing the cause of global independence.
