Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Lebanon

| Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- A Lebanese preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed on January 22. Zaher al Khatib, secretary general of the Lebanon Federation of Workers and chairman of the Lebanese Committee for Support to the Reunification of Korea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from January 22 to February 18 and decided to hold political and cultural events praising Kim Jong Il's exploits. |
