The statement said that the joint conference earnestly called upon all the Koreans in north, south and abroad to usher in a heyday of peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula by thoroughly implementing the historic north-south declarations.

It noted that the members of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification fully support the appeal.

It expressed firm belief that the implementation of the historic north-south declarations leads to national prosperity, happiness of the Koreans in Japan and rosy future of coming generations.

It is the greatest cherished desire of the Koreans in Japan who underwent sorrow as a stateless nation in Japan after being deprived of their country by the Japanese imperialists to put an end to the disastrous history of the nation and build a reunified country, it said.

It expressed the determination to take the lead in smashing obstructions of anti-reunification force at every step and thoroughly maintaining and implementing to the last the Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration.

It stressed that all the members of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification would make a tangible contribution to bringing about another radical turn in the journey for the development of the inter-Korean relations and peace, prosperity and reunification this year in hearty response to the appeal.
