Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Kuwait

Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- A Kuwaiti preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed on January 23.

Javid Ahmad, director of the Administrative Department of Kuwait Times who doubles as chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il from Jan. 23 to Feb. 17.
