Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Russia on Jan. 30. Salinikov, chairman of the Regional Social Organization of Russia "Borozino", and C. M. Kramarenko, chairman of the Korean War Veterans' Council of Russia, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 30 to Feb. 17 and decided to hold colorful political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il. |
