Present at the meeting were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U, Vice-Chairman and Director of the General Affairs Department Pae Jin Gu, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organization Department Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman Pak Ku Ho, Chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon Ri Myong Yu, department directors of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon and chairpersons of the headquarters of Chongryon.

The meeting discussed the tasks and ways for enhancing the function and role of the organizations of the headquarters of Chongryon as required by the new historic times in hearty response to the important tasks set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address and message of New Year greeting to Chongryon.

Ho noted that Kim Jong Un, in his message of New Year greeting, underscored the need to provide a firm springboard for bringing about the overall prosperity of the movement of Koreans in Japan by going all out for the implementation of the decision of the 24th Congress of Chongryon, keeping pace with the dynamic struggle of the people in the homeland.

It is urgent and foremost to heighten the political and ideological level of the chairpersons of the headquarters, regional guiding units, in order to fulfill their function and role in carrying out the important tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un, the reporter stated.

He stressed the need for the chairpersons of headquarters to keep in mind the New Year Address made by Kim Jong Un and his message of New Year greeting as important guidelines for this year's struggle and fully display the spirit of self-reliance, perseverance and death-defying in the efforts for implementing them.

All the chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters should decisively enhance the ideological awareness and political level as befits officials responsible for regional guiding units to fulfill their responsibilities and duties true to Kim Jong Un's plan of leadership over Chongryon, the reporter added.
