The secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar said:

Leader Kim Jong Il developed the Workers' Party of Korea into a revolutionary party with strong sense of organization and discipline and turned the DPRK into the one and only politically and ideologically strong country of the world in which all the people are closely rallied around the party.

Indeed, his whole life was that of the peerless patriot and the great leader who devoted his all to the accomplishment of the socialist cause and the global cause of independence.

The secretary general of the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung said that Kim Jong Il is the leader of the people who had done all the work, absolutely trusting and relying on them, and that his noble image as the genuine leader of the people would be always kept in the minds of the Korean people and the world progressives.

Media of various countries carry articles on the greatness of Kim Jong Il.

The Russian website Grifon Prestizh said in an article titled "Figure of a Great Man" that Kim Jong Il was the man who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people with his view of life and philosophy to devote himself to the future like pure and clean snow. The philosophy on snow that runs through the noble life of the great saint is deeply moving the international community, it added.

The Lao newspaper Pasason carried an article titled "Immortal Exploits of Comrade Kim Jong Il" together with his photo, which said:

History knows no such a great man as Comrade Kim Jong Il who performed immortal exploits for global independence with his matchless and extraordinary ideological and theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership.

Leader Kim Jong Il concentrated his efforts on the development of relations with the countries aspiring after independence and conducted energetic activities to build a new world with the application of the idea of independence, peace and friendship. His wide-ranging external activities gave a great influence to the international political situation.

February 16 this year marks his 77th birth anniversary.
