The statement said that all the members of the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China fully support and welcome the appeal of the joint conference of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK for making bigger progress in developing the north-south ties, achieving peace and prosperity and accomplishing the cause of national reunification.

The statement also said that the New Year Address of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un indicates the way and orientation for putting the north-south relations onto the higher stage on the basis of the precious successes made last year and reflects the desire of all the fellow countrymen for more dynamically ushering in a new era of national reconciliation, peace and prosperity.

All the Korean residents in China will vigorously turn out in glorifying this year as another eventful year to go down in the national history true to the lofty patriotic intention of the peerlessly great man and in hearty response to the above-said appeal, the statement said.

It expressed the determination to make positive efforts to implement the north-south declarations together with the compatriots in the homeland and, at the same time, resolutely oppose and reject all the acts such as joint military drills with outside forces and purchases of war hardware from abroad, which will be only harmful to developing the inter-Korean ties and ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula.
