Korean Stamps Museum Renovated
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean Stamps Museum has been renovated with due ceremony on Monday.

Displayed in the museum are an album of stamps collected by Chairman Kim Jong Il in his schooldays and historical data, stamps and post cards showing the revolutionary careers of the peerless great persons and the development course of the DPRK and relics related to stamps.

Also displayed there are historical data and relics showing the history of mail service in ancient and middle ages of Korea and establishment of modern postal system in the end of the feudal Joson dynasty.

The museum has a stamp-stand, souvenir-stall, etc.

Present at the ceremony were Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet; Kim Kwang Chol, minister of Posts and Telecommunications; officials concerned, employees of the museum, philatelists, foreign diplomatic envoys and officials in charge of cultural and friendly relations of foreign embassies here.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the stamps and relics.

Meanwhile, the State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK presented a commemorative stamp as regards the renovation of the museum.
