Exhibition of Art Works to Mark Day of Shining Star Opens

| Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of art works "Korean National Tree-Pine" to mark the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) opened at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on Wednesday. Seen on the front wall of the exhibition venue is an acryl painting "Best wish of all people" depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. On display at the exhibition were more than 150 works based on pine tree created by painters and amateurs across the country. Korean paintings "Robust pine tree" and "Overcoming heavy frost", acryl painting "Green pine tree on Mt Ryongak" and others vividly depict pine tree that grows in thick verdure in all seasons despite any storm. The exhibition goes on till February 27. |
