The event opened on Feb. 10 to mark the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star).

On display are over 2 000 sculptures of more than 50 kinds created by shock brigade members of the regiment of the Ministry of People's Security under the 216 Division with ardent yearning for Kim Jong Il.

Also on display are ice sculptures of peculiar and diverse shapes showing the stirring reality of the country undergoing change on a daily basis. It is being visited by officials and working people in Samjiyon County and other parts of Ryanggang Province as well as members of an expedition to revolutionary battle-sites in area of Mt. Paektu.
