Present there were Kim Yong Dae, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party who is chairman of the Consultative Council for National Reconciliation, Pak Myong Chol, presidium member and secretary general of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea and chairman of the north side committee for implementing June 15 joint declaration, Ri Chang Bok, permanent representative chairman of the south side committee for implementing June 15 joint declaration, Kim Hong Gol, permanent representative chairman of the All-People Consultative Council for National Reconciliation, Son Hyong Gun, chairman of the overseas side committee for implementing June 15 joint declaration, Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, and representatives of organizations of various circles from the north, the south and abroad.

At the meeting of representatives from the north, the south and abroad, the first event of the solidarity gathering, speakers called for realizing alliance and solidarity irrespective of differences in ideology, idea, political view and social system and further accelerating the nationwide advance for implementing the historic Panmunjom declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration and thus bringing about another epochal turn in developing the north-south ties and accomplishing the cause of national reunification this year.

An appeal to 80 million Korean compatriots was adopted at the meeting of representatives.

At the meeting of chairmen of All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration and panel meetings of different organizations and oath-taking meeting for greeting sun-rise, the representatives from the north, the south and abroad expressed their will to fulfill their mission and duty in the sacred course for implementing the north-south declarations, new landmarks for independent reunification and peace and prosperity, by pooling their efforts.
