Cooking Competition Held to Mark Day of Shining Star

Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The Ninth Cooking Competition took place at the Pyongyang Noodle House from Feb. 12 to 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star).

The event brought together over 60 units in the fields of the General Bureau of Public Catering Service, ministries and national institutions, public catering in Pyongyang and each province (municipality) and external service.

There took place a cooking and beverage-making competition, exhibitions of potato farina, Tanbaekcho and mallow dishes and demonstration of cooking new dishes.
