Anachronistic Act of S. Korean Conservative Forces Denounced

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The coteries of the "Liberal Korea Party" of south Korea, referring to the north-south agreement in the military field, are touting that "security foundation has broken down", "sovereignty over national defence has been violated" and the agreement has to be "nullified". They even went to areas near the Military Demarcation Line where they touted that the revision or nullification of the agreement in the military field is the way of "defending security". The former minister of National Defence, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other retirees from the military formed an ultra-right conservative organization and raised a disturbance, calling for scrapping the military agreement while trumpeting about "sham peace" and "general security crisis". A commentary of Rodong Sinmun Friday says that this clearly proves once again the despicable nature of the group of traitors to the nation finding their way-out in confrontation and escalated tensions, being displeased with the peace and stability settling on the Korean peninsula. The thoughtless act of the south Korean conservative forces keen on scrapping the military agreement is nothing but last-ditch efforts of those keen on saving their poor destiny doomed to ruin, as they are now lost to the means of existence maintained by dint of confrontation with the advent of the era of peace. Whether they are conservative opposition parties or retired military gangsters, whoever calls for abrogation of the military agreement are group of traitors that have to be eliminated at an early date for national reconciliation and unity and peace of the Korean peninsula. No matter how desperately the south Korean conservative forces may try to mislead the public opinion and prolong their remaining days, nothing will ever be effective. The group of traitors is fated to meet miserable fate, marginalized by the rapid current of the times. |
