Present there on invitation were Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy members.

Present there were Wang Yi, state councilor and foreign minister of the PRC, and officials of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Speeches were made there.

The state councilor and foreign minister of the PRC said that the agreements on cultural cooperation and air transport between the two countries were concluded 60 years ago under the care of the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries.

He said that the Chinese party and government highly attaches importance to the friendly and cooperative relations between China and the DPRK, adding that there will be no change in the firm stand of the Chinese party and government to consolidate the China-DPRK relations and the feelings of friendship of the Chinese people towards the Korean people and in the support of China to socialist Korea, no matter what international and regional situations may change.

Ji Jae Ryong said that the traditional DPRK-China friendship associated with the great heart and soul of the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries is invariably consolidated and developed even in the complicated international and regional situations thanks to the deep trust and intimate relations between Chairman Kim Jong Un and President Xi Jinping.

He expressed the will to work hard to develop friendship, unity, exchange and cooperation between the two countries in different fields as required by the era this year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
