Minju Joson Urges Japan to Turn Ear to Public Demand
Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, more than twenty famous professors, lawyers and media persons of Japan made public the "2019 statement of Japanese civilians and intellectuals" calling upon the government to make a sincere reflection on the past crimes.

Noting that Japan has not made a reflection and apology for its colonial domination over Korea for a long time, the statement stressed that the reflection and apology for it is the key to the improved DPRK-Japan relations.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Tuesday says that in fact, Japan's liquidation of the past is not a simple historical matter but a serious political one for guaranteeing justice and future of human society.

The commentary notes that all sorts of evil deeds committed by Japan while posing itself as a master after occupying Korea, a sovereign state, are the heinous unethical crimes against humanity which can never be pardoned by the international community.

The commentary says that the recent statement of the Japanese intellectuals is not just the demand of a social class but the one of the people from all walks of life and the international community.

It warns that if the present ruling forces of Japan continue to turn a deaf ear to the demand of people and the international community, it will only bring about the results of ruining their political destiny and future of Japan.
